My Approach
As a professional counselor (and as a human), authenticity is at the core of who I am. I named my practice “Authentic Clinical Counseling” because the foundation of any meaningful relationship—whether personal or professional—is honesty and being true to oneself. In my practice, I strive to be “real” with the people I work with.
Being "real" means that my clients can fully relax and be honest without the need for pretense. Wherever you are at in this moment, I want to be there to support you. Healing is messy, complex, and deeply personal—and it’s okay to be vulnerable and imperfect in the process. We can explore difficult topics, challenge patterns, and celebrate growth—without the need for perfection.
Authenticity also means that humor and bluntness are always welcome. I believe in the power of laughter to release tension, shift perspective, and create a moment of lightness amid heavy emotions. While I maintain professionalism and respect for the gravity of the issues we explore, I recognize that humor can be a valuable tool in helping people cope.
About Me
Counseling is not just a profession to me but a calling to support people in their most vulnerable moments. My commitment to this process comes from a place of authentic care.
With over 9 years practicing as a counselor, I am committed to helping individuals navigate the complexities of their mental health. I have extensive experience treating trauma, addictions and a wide array of mental health concerns. I enjoy reading research articles and staying up to date with the latest developments in mental health treatment. This enables me to provide the highest level of care and ensure that I am equipped with evidence-based tools to support my clients.
If you're ready to begin your path to recovery and wellness, I would be honored to work with you.
“You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are real, you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.”
